NANO PEREZ
Orlando Perez (born march 8, 1988) was raised in a small town in central California. He came from a loving family which consisted of 3 brothers, his mom and dad. Since the age of 5 he was intrigued by art which included music, drawing, lyrics, instruments and he was very athletic. He was inspired by the westcoast legends such as ICE Cube, NWA, Lil Rob, Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and the Dogg Pound. As he grew older he was influenced deeply by Tupac, The Game and Eminem.
At the age of 13, he began to write his own lyrics and found his passion in story telling and rhyming which was heavily influenced by the west coast, primarily the California lifestyle, repping your city, state, guns and violence. He started recording with local artist from his town and quickly found that he loved writing and recording music. At the age of 19 he moved to Arizona, which was far away from home and his connection to record. He procrastinated in his drive for music due to the fact that he didn’t know anyone and felt like an outsider. A year and a half later he moved back to Anaheim, California to be back to get back into his passion of creating music
While following his dreams, he was introduced to a business that helped him start looking at life in a different way. He became so intrigued by the mass of new information about positive thinking, that he being to see life in a more life way. He started reading more books about being positive and achieving goals for his life. He began to think, “Why more people weren’t spreading this type of message and helping everyone success in life and make something better for themselves”.
Orlando was so thankful with the company that introduced him to this new positive way of thinking, he decided to write a couple of songs about the company and perform them in front of 3,000 associates. He was so amazed by the positive reaction he receive from his audience after completed his performance, that he started thinking, "THIS WAS IT." After hearing that being signed to a major record label limited his creativity, as far as the type of message he was trying to spread, that he decided to take his destiny in to his own hands and launch his own record label. With his brother’s help and 3 other partners he met through the company, they started the record label T.R.U Vision Entertainment. T.R.U stands for teaching resilience and unity, which all 5 business partners are determined to spread and change people’s minds one rhyme at a time!!
